I am a Chartered Accountant in service at Delhi. I did my graduation about 30 years back from an industrial town of Harayana. (Let us call it Faridabad in Haryana for our convenience) After doing my Commerce Graduation I decided to join C.A Course.

Once Principal of the firm was also staying at the Auditors lodge. Already 10 C.A Trainees or Articles were staying there. One late evening the principle reached the Auditors lodge and called Ramu the cook and asked him to prepare omelette of 4 eggs with a few bread slices.

The cook checked the fridge – enough bread was there but only one egg was available. The market was closed and senior most person was demanding Omelete.He went to senior most(and most naughty also) Article – Anuj and told him.

Babujee Sir nee char andee kaa omlette bananee kee liyee bola haa par fridge mee eek hee anda haa aur market aaz band haa.”Ramu pahlee intezzam karkee rakhaa kar. Achha mee kartaa hu” Anuj told Ramu and slowly moved towards room of Principle Sir to apologise.He was a naughty boy but was feeling nervous to face a senior person. Then suddenly a lightening flash came to his mind. Anuj had a mischievous plan in his mind but was hesitating/ double minded to implement the not so appealing plan. But he has no way out but have to implement the plan.

He came to kitchen. Ramu has taken out bread and an onion and a tomato out of the fridge. Anuj told Ramu to prepare onion, tomato and bread slice for for four eggs. Ramu was wandering how babujee is a jadugar how he created four eggs. Ramu came back after 2-3 minutes. Anuj told him to prepare ingredients for four eggs omelete and he himself has gone to rooms of the rest 9 boys staying in the lodge and directed each one to be present in the kitchen in next 5 minutes for an important meeting.The boys were puzzled what type of meeting has been convened and that too venue is kitchen and that too on a short notice of 5 minutes.

But none has courage to disobey Anuj being senior most and a mischievous boy. Within next 5-7 minutes everybody has marched to kitchen. They assembled there with a question mark on every face. By that time Ramu had cute the onions and tomato and was roasting bread toast.

Anuj gave him a ten rupee note and handed over a vessel and ordered him to bring milk from buffalo diary and told him we shall take care of omelete and also serve to Sir.Ramu had no option but to obey.

Immediately he closed kitchen door and window and ordered the fellow to make a Q. he explained them that we have to serve omletee made of 4 eggs to Sir but only one egg is in stock and we have to create 3 eggs more ourself. Jagmohan Singh a sardar boy asked whether we are hen and supposed to lay egg here and everybody laughed loudly.

He smelled the air and told the boys that today omelet will be wonderful as his nose is getting a wonderful fragrance while still omelet is under preparation. The boys giggled and told Sir it will be served within next few minutes. Anuj put the two omelet in a plate and four pieces of roasted bread in another plate and asked the Ashok to take the bread plate in his hand.

The two who had contributed the most in preparation of wonderful omelet were present with the heavenly snacks for their Sir.Sir has eaten both omelet with g8 taste and passion. The rest of 8 contributor of raw material for omelet were standing outside and were looking from window to Sir and Anuj Ashok with a mischievous smile both their faces.

Tahen everybody marched inside the room and inquired from Sir how was the omelet and to their utter surprise sir was replying everybody it was yhe most taste. omelet both his life. (it looks that human cum can prepare better omelete then hen yoke).

Ramu has come back by this time after fetching milk. Anuj told him this time we have kept your “ izzat’ though they all have to sacrifice their izzat for omelet.That is all! I Shall await comments of dear reader on this true incident which has happened about thirty years ago but vividly in my mind.
